As chief operating officer of MFM,  John is responsible for the day to day management of the company. His interest in the investment markets began in the mid 1970's during college. He began his career with the Continental Insurance Company of New York, working in the investment department tracking the activity of  corporate investment portfolios. Many portfolios utilized options to reduce risk and increase income.


He later worked at US Realty & Investment Company of Newark, New Jersey, a private realty investment mortgage company, as assistant controller, where he became exposed to mortgage hedging practices utilizing futures and options.


An extensive user and believer in options to increase portfolio income, John currently uses options to reduce risk in client investment portfolios. John has been a frequent speaker on taxes and investments in the greater Orlando area, and was the keynote speaker at a Charles Schwab & Co. conference.


Nationally, he is a regular participant in the Barron's Big Money Survey of Investment Advisors, an Investment Advisor Editorial Panel Member of Financial Advisor Magazine, as well as being featured frequently in The Wall Street Transcript and in OT Magazine, a publication devoted to the financial interests of professional athletes. John has had a special privilege of being recognized in Nelson's Investment Survey of The 100 Top Money Managers You Can Hire.

 

John is a member of the National Association of Enrolled Agents, Florida Society of Enrolled Agents, and regulated by the State of Florida as an investment advisor. He holds a BA in Accounting, and an MBA in Finance. John's civic activities include, former Treasurer of the Osceola County Council on Aging, member of the Board of Directors and Finance Committee, and was active in the Central Florida Junior Achievement school volunteer program as well as other civic and personal activities.
